In the woods

The mist rises from the sleeping woods
In the foliage, rabbits run fast
The haze
wraps all in a dull blanket.
On the green conifers, birds nest
The coolness and the damp cover the leave.
In the gray sky a pale moon rises,
The bear sniffs its prey
The badger hides in the bushes,
A strong smell of fresh bark and resin.
In the gloomy silence,
the sound of the woodpecker and the owl.
